Careers at Janor Solutions
At Janor Solutions we take a different approach to our staffing goals. We are looking for educated, but inexperienced people that we can bring along in the industry. We believe that our industry is moving ahead so fast, that it is only the teenagers of our world that have the time to study everything that is new and exciting about it. With this in mind, it is our firm commitment to continually refresh our knowledge base through offering internships, work experience, and co-op programs for the young men and women considering a career in our industry. And, assisting them to complete their post secondary education, and gain valued work experience. It is from this pool that we intend to draw our permanent staff, to fill our ever expanding needs. Graphic Designers
We are always on the look out for a few good Designers. There are plenty of good artists around who can do an amazing job of taking a vision from their head and translating it into the media of their choice. We are looking for people who can see the vision in a client's head, and translate that into the Web, and Print media, that it will have to be deployed in. We need people who are familiar with Semantic Design, and know how to slice their creations to be deployed on a modern web page.
Programmers
To be a programmer in today's world you must be fluent in many different languages. We specialize in the international open source varieties, as opposed to those controlled by a single large company. Therefore we work in HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, PHP, and Perl, based on a UNIX/Linux environment. Today's programmers also need to understand database design, development, and administration in order to implement their creations; for this we use postgreSQL. If you have any or all of these skills, and are looking to gain experience, or fill in the gaps of the things you don't know, we would like to talk to you.
Systems Administrators
Our systems are deployed on UNIX based servers, and we have UNIX and Linux based servers that we test on. We control our Web testing using Apache Server. We connect from our Windows XP Professional workstations using Samba Server. We use CVS for code control and Perl for our scripting. If you have knowledge in any of these areas and are looking to hone your skills, we want to hear from you.
Translators
Because all Janor Solutions are designed to be maintained in multiple languages, we will be needing translators in all languages using our western based alphabet. We have not fully implemented this capability as yet, partially because we do not have all the necessary translators. We plan to expand into all languages as soon as possible, but we are not quite there yet.
